Warriors parents and teachers Miss Gail your counselor hope you're doing well and staying safe and today I'm here to talk to you about this week's team and this week thing called digital citizen what is digital citizen digital citizen one who knows right and wrong and Xzibit technology behavior and makes good choices when using technology in other words it's someone who asks safely responsibly and respectfully online and I'm here to tell you or to remind you of some points to keep you secure and save online and we're going to start with I am Citizen and the first point here is when I'm at school I will use my personal device for educational purposes only I will only use the assigned Wi-Fi network when I'm at school I will keep my device safe and secure at all time known as talk about home because you're doing a lot of and you're using the computer that Chromebook or the tablet online a lot so we want to keep you secure and safe so when I'm at home I will use my personal device and I will be responsible I will be respectful and I will be safe because your person who buys you can use it like games research the be sure that you are responsible and that you are safe if you're using a school a sign like a computer you're a Chromebook or a tablet you going to use it for educational purposes and you're going to follow the same you're going to keep your device safe and secure at all another Point here I will listen to my gut another words my feed me and I'm going to make sure that I am safe and appropriate boys and girls when I'm online I will visit appropriate websites that promote learning and are for educational purposes I will follow copyright and remember to cite the sources I use for all my project and not copyright law it's a law that gives the owner of a work and you could be like for example a movie a picture a song or a website the right to say how other people can use it without copyright a work and baby copy if the owner permission another point I will listen to my head I will protect my private information and the information of others not share my login password with others and also boys and girls balance your time is your time you spend online and using the medium another point I will listen to my heart I will respect myself and others when I'm online I will use kind words and remember that my digital footprint should not harm others an additional term used to describe the traces of yourself. online it's called a footprint because with every website you visit every website or a footprint showing that you're been there so be careful stay safe Christmas like a footprint that you live with playing outside in the mud find the snow really don't have much snow here minutes break up with friend that you live so be very careful with your digital footprint and is very important I stand up and say to Cyberbully I will tell an adult if someone is being unkind harmful but most of all the most important of all to stay safe online boys and girls stay safe online that's the most important thing and be responsible be respectful I stay safe careful what websites you going to it and I'm going to leave you with this since I can't hug you person I'm sending you hugs from afar it's sweet it's warm it's here I love you stay safe many blessings and remember that this information and some other information you can find it on the Paloma website under counseling
